Strike

Roll 1 twenty-sided die. Add +9. Compared against AC 15: you hit if the kept d20 face plus the bonus totals 15 or more (so the d20 needs to land on at least 6). A natural 19 or higher crits — the c19 part of the expression extends the crit range (Champion fighter's Improved Critical, a Hexblade's Curse, etc.). On a hit, deal 1 8-sided die, plus 5, plus 2 8-sided dice (the rider — extra damage on top of the base, doubled on crit just like the base dice). On a crit, double all the damage dice (the 1d8+5 becomes 2d8+5, the rider 2d8 becomes 4d8); flat modifiers stay the same.
